eCube shutting down

The hosting provider of eCube has informed me that they are going out of business and will shut down operations by 31 Dec 2009. I need to move this blog to a new hosting provider if I want to continue with this blog. Not sure if I will. eCube was meant to be a team blog and it has served its purpose. eCube will shut down after December this year... unless someone volunteers to run this blog.

PS: I am allowed to change my mind. December is still far away.

If you decide to continue
Moving posts and database from one blog/hosting to another is easy. Do not pause to ask for my help, if needed.

If your have got e3cube.co.in registered with the same hosting provider and if you want to continue, you need to transfer the domainname, which sometimes is not easy if you have bought it from some local vendor. If you decide to change/transfer the domain name and hosting, i suggest dreamhost.com. They are here to stay.

If you decide not to continue and nobody volunteers, own/retain the domain name and sell it based on traffic. Let sedo.co.uk evaluate it.

Thanks Yogesh. I will connect with you separately for this. I have tried porting it to Blogger and Wordpress.com with some success but with some inherent flaws. Will check out the other options you suggested.

Kia ora e Manish!
I think it would be a great loss if eCUBE closed down altogether! Transferring your blog should not present much of a problem, at least, I hope it doesn’t. luckily you have some time to consider what to do about it. I hope you decide to transfer.
Catchya later

Hi Ken
Thanks for your continued support to eCube. Yes, it looks like eCube will continue on a new location, hopefully with the same URL.

Thanks for your support Kapil. I am exploring options for a new host. I am also looking for contributing authors for eCube.
